Good day fusionistas!
Today I will be sharing with you, only to begin with, 10 products for the lips I have purchased, used and approved, it's a personal thing.
We have some that are department store brands and others that are pharmacy brands that work as well.
It's good to know we have an array of products to choose, and alternatives when it comes to our budget.
I have been collecting this information for a while, on my spare time, and couldn't put it out there, but finally got to post 10 picks, enjoy!
1-Nivea Lip Balm Hint of Kiss:
I've gotta tell you, this smells like passion fruit, I swear it does, and it is such a good pharmacy product, and inexpensive. I am addicted to it, at night I can't sleep w/o this on my lips. You can even use it at daytime and it just plumps up lips, looks barely there, and so natural.
2-Burt Bee's Lip Balm:
These you can purchase at any drugstore, CVS, Walgreens.
I haven't seen them here in the Dominican Republic yet, but you can also order them online.
I like these, they have sort of a matte texture, stain your lips, and last a long time.
3-fresh SUGAR Lip balms:
This is something else! I got these as a gift, they are from Sephora, every color is pretty, and they moisturize so well, while simultaneously giving your lips such a pretty sheer tint, my favorite is Honey and Coral, I use the clear one as lip balm at nighttime. The smell is delicious, and amazingly enough, if you sleep with the sheer one, you wake up with the balm on. Strong staying power, beautiful colors.
4-Revlon colorstay lipliner in Natural:
I love this lipliner given the fact that it has no color, and it simply gives your lips the perfect shape to fill it in with whatever color you want.
I'm not a heavy lipliner user, except when the colors are bolder, like reds and fuschias, but for neutrals, this is great.
You can purchase this at any drugstore in U.S.A., and you might find it here in the Dominican Republic.
5- Stripdown from Mac:
Ideal for yor brown hues or your nudes, to make them darker. I like to mix it with Angel Lipstick from Mac and Turkish Delight lipgloss from Nars, that's Kim Kardashian's nude lipstick blend...
( no, I can't stand her stupidity, but I like her make up, there, I admitted it)
Perfectly good lipliners, very inexpensive...the thing is the size, they are pretty small...but work just fine.
7-THE red lipliner Cherry from Mac:
Want Dita Von Teese's
look? Just pair it up with Russian Red or Exces de Rouge from Kiss Kiss
Gueralin, and you've got it...
8-Sheer color from Guerlain, lip tint
Volupte Sheer Candy is
the one I have. LOVE IT!!! And it has a fruity smell...5th from left to
right, this is a pricey item, I know, but sometimes we need to splurge in really nice stuff, I mean we deserve it, right? I gave it a lot of thought before purchasing it, but no regrets. It looks good on a bare face guys!
Remember, when you go to a Department Store, approach the YSL counter like you mean it, and give it a sniff or a try, you will just LOVE this thing! I wanted them all!
And it's a really nice product to wear under lipstick, if matte lipstick is too dry. One of the best moisturizing beauty gadgets EVER!
9-Rouge Volupte YSL Lipstick
These are wonderful! Creamy and delicious, yes on the pricey side, but who cares right? Well, the man of the house does, or my pocket does, but another one of those splurges we can sometimes sneak in and enjoy...no, INDULGE!
I have one of the lightest pink shades, Lingerie pink, I blend it with a liner and it looks a tad bit darker...beautiful! And the texture is fabulous!
10- YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick:
I just purchased mine in Fuschia. Lightens up your face the second you wear it! The number is 07...
The texture is smooth, and glides on beautifully. When it comes to bolder colors, I like to use a lip brush, the color sinks deeper and lips tend to look fuller and prettier.
