As I told you in my brief introduction, I'm a beauty junkie, soooo...based on that premise I will be sharing with you my latest purchases for my tropical, frizzy, scorched, wavy hair, dried up from everyday washing because of my nasty sweating at the gym...some good, some not-so-good.

First of all, I'd like to introduce a magical potion I just discovered. I bought this at a local salon here in Dominican Republic.
I have known the Kerastase products very well, but this one in particualr ( among many others), I had never applied, and hey, I liked it...
I'm the type of person that when I go to the gym, wash my hair at home ( I will tell you what I use further on), I'd rather not use any hot tools, so for those days I'm just chilling at home and DON'T need a blow-dry (that's rare) or a hot styling tool ( very rare) this works great...
-KERASTASE NUTRITIVE OLEO-RELAX SLIM LEAVE-IN
****I have to warn you, if you have like a lot of hair, tons of it, with A WHOLE LOT of volume...Follow the directions strictly, but if you don't, use a pea sized amount, this is great but extremely heavy, it can leave your hair looking greasy and oily...no, dirty actually, so beware.****
-Next in line, Moroccan Oil Curl Defining cream
I bought this at a local salon here in Dominican Republic.
Sometimes I need my wild curls tamed for the no frizz curly/wavy look after a long day at the beach or pool where tons of chlorine or salty water have just stripped my hair, literally, leaving it like dry hay or an old broom...I know, horrible. It's a life in the tropics kind of issue, meets sweaty head like you just came out of the shower....I live in the Dominican Republic, the caribbean, so you know what that means, humidity 24/7...
I'd like to recommend this product if you are going out and want beautiful curls, it really locks them up beautifully, and if you diffuse it, it is wonderful...thers is one downfall, it is sticky, so, again, try using a decent amount and as time goes by, you'll know the right amount you need.
***A good thing to do if you are a daily washer, change products so your hair doesn't saturate from the same product, and once in a while clarify, this will help clear strands of build up and will help your hair suck in the products much better.***
-Ok, next in line is PHYTOLISSE ultra-glossing finishing serum
This is really good for a blowout, 2 pumps and that is it. No frizz, all night long. These products tend to be on the high end, PHYTO Paris, but they are excellent. If you can go for it, I recommend it highly, it is extremely concentrated and goes a long way, you can find this at Sephora or order it online at their store or via Amazon.
This is good stuff...this is like liquid gold or something. Really nice.
And this is thumbs down, left my hair, like...I don't know, dry? Stiff...?
I used it to go out in Miami, trying to be cool and south beachy and all, and boy do I regret it, it is not cheap, it promises beautiful wavy beach hair, I was left with a mop on my head. Did not work for me, but hey, you gotta try. It had great publicity, maybe I'm applying it wrong or something? Or it is simply not made for my hair...that must be it...
I'm gonna try it again, but on a stay at home night, to see if maybe I overdid it, or mixed it with the wrong product...I tend to mix products, so that's sort of a thing I do...

No, my hair obviously did not look like this. NO. It wanted to, but it was stiff and frizzy...

-Neeeext...REDKEN Heat Styling thermo actif:
I bought this at a local salon here in Dominican Republic.
This you need before using a curling or straightening iron, you apply it on your dry hair and then use the scorching tool wisely, your hair will be protected from the element of fire...
-And last but not least for today's picks...
BAMBOO SMOOTH Anti-Breakage thermal Protectant Spray:
This protects your hair up to 428 degrees F/ 220 degrees C...WOW!
These hot styling tools tools are weapons that can leave you bald in a blink of an eye, Jesus Christ!
So that said, I bought it, tried it, and love it...
It's more like a cream gel than a spray, it works, and you can use it without fear of overdoing it, because it is not oily, that's the best part, I have middle length hair, wavy, and I use six pumps, it's better to pump it on hands, because it spreads better...
you can find this at Sephora or order it online at their store or via Amazon.
Well, goodbye for now, and will continue posting about all these thingies we girls like, and then some more...
T.
