Hello Scoopers!
How has your week been? Mine has been pretty busy, but I finally found some time to blog away on one of my favorite topics, beauty.
Being a beauty junkie, today I'd like to share with you more great products I have tried. I'm talking bronzers, blushes, rouges, blush brushes and highlighters for the face and body.
Color in our face is extremely important, and more so, when we go out at night and want to make a great impression, not look all Andy Warhol pale. This is not good.
Likewise, we sometimes tend to over do it, and look like The Joker, which is equally bad.
Really bad...
A good recommendation is to abide by your skin tone, experiment with colors, and your best bet ( in my humble opinion) is try to get a perfect blend of glow, shimmer and natural color.
My recommendations will be basically neutrals with a pinch of pink or peach. These hues are the ones that fit into most skin colors and you can get away with them easily. You will get an idea when you see them.
My skin is pale, blotchy, with pink and red undertones, so I have to stay away from pinks, reds, fuschias and deal more with peaches, neutrals like honeys, bronzers and blend in some light browns for contouring. Here's a picture with no filter, untouched...so you can appreciate my skin tone, specially in the neck and chest area.

So here I will introduce and describe briefly some products I have purchased and used.
1-Need some glow? You got it...Smashbox Fusion Soft Lights, Baked Starburst. Beautiful, it simply gives you light to your face, naturally. One of my all time favorites, it's soft and does not cake.

natural looking, and stays put pretty
well...
9-Pinch me from Mac. a great powder blush for a natural look. This specific one would fall into the category of a brown/pink/peach blush with a touch of honey. It looks good on most skintones. you can buy it at any Mac store.
10- This is a two in one kind of product, I purchased it at CVS,
it's ok, if you like to really go on the light side of things. You have to
swipe it pretty much with your brush, but it really looks natural and does a
good job on coloring and contouring simultaneously. Good for daytime...
11- This one is also a great drugstore product...Found here in
Dominican Republic. I tend to use very neutral colors.
12-Almay hypoallergenic blush in peach, good drugstore product, no breakouts, and looks very natural.
13- This is a gel blush, looks clear, but the second it touches
your skin, it turns into a hue that is compatible with your skin, I like it a
lot because it's very light, not greasy at all...You can purchase this at Sephora.
15- The professional Sephora Platinum collection blush
brush...WOW! Glides blush smoothly, soft on the face, excellent for
sensitive skin. Pricey but worth it. I have learned that good make up brushes are a wise investment. They carry excellent special brush soaps that keep them clean and like new. The powder brush and the liner brush are excellent from this specific line. You will find them at Sephora.
16- Kabuki blush/powder brush from Revlon, drugstore price,
professional quality. Love it! Great for the purse, or going out...
Well, that's all for today scoopers, hope you enjoyed these recommendations...
xo,
T.
14-Natural looking cheeks anytime you want. you can wear it
alone and it looks so pretty, it comes like a nail polish jar...with the little
brush, and smells like crushed roses...
