What lies beneath...

Hello guys,

I'm back with the goodies we like, beauty stuff.
Yes, today my post is about products to create the foundation, the canvas for our make up, beauty balms, primers, concealers, foundations, powders...

At this day and age, beauty companies have created so many products, we tend to go crazy at the stores and want everything of everything because of those promises and ads that make us believe we will look fabulous, beautiful and younger. The sad thing is, most of us tend to believe it, ( I do).
The ads make you drool, and you imagine your skin will look like the photoshopped/airbrushed/made up  model on the ad, so not true.

For what it's worth, I still keep trying stuff, and here are some things that I have personally bought, tried and approved. Some are Department store products, others are drugstore products, and I consider them to be pretty good.

Let's begin

1- ESTEE LAUDER DayWear: Great tinted moisturizer, best for dry skin, I used it and it works and looks beautiful, but I preferred something lighter...So I went with Rae climate control tinted moisturizer for my everyday routine. But make no mistake, this tint is awesome for those with drier skin, AWESOME! Skin looks like porcelain and the tint blends with your color...

2-RAE climate control tinted moisturizerI exchanged Daywear from Estee Lauder to this miracle tainted moisturizer for my skin! OMG, it will not fade, it is so light, it has natural coverage, a brand new line, now available through Amazon or Rae cosmetics. Heat and perspiration-resistant cosmetics that help improve your skins natural, healthy appearance. This line is specially made for women who like to wear make up for sports, like swimming and running. It will not fade, I tried it, and it's for real.

3-Mac concealer: An option for excellent coverage for concealing. Beware, it is very thick, only a little bit is needed, you do not want it to look overdone, no racoon eyes...

4- Got oily skin or blemishes? Conceal FXI blend this with the mac concealer to smoothen it out a bit ( the mac), this is more watery and keeps blemishes and breakouts away. If your skin is very oily you can use it alone, it runs a little dark so try to get the one that blends most with your skincolor. Available at Sephora or Amazon.

5-Dermablend: This concealer was my savior when I had a terrible breakout some time ago. It is not oily, it covers fantastically and it won't cause breakouts.
I ordered it on Amazon. Read carefully to find the one that matches your skintone. It is truly amazing how well it covers! But it is on the heavy side, so beware, try to blend it in with a concelaer brush
( Revlon has good, cheap ones), and you will see those blemishes vanish! I promise!

6-Murad Acne concealer: Best acne/blemish concealer hands down...it treats while it covers, and won't irritate your skin if you follow instructions. You can find it at Sephora or order it on Amazon.

7-Hands down, one of the best light foundations I have used, from Chanel, Vitalumiere Aqua, it is light, pretty, not greasy and evens out my skin tone, no breakouts here either...

8-HELLO FLAWLESS, OXYGEN WOW, from Benefit: A great option for a breathable foundation! Excellent for combination skin! You'll find it in Dept.Stores and Sephora or Amazon.

9-If you really want to go overboard, The Temtpu Airbrush Make up System is just Fab! This is more on the Professional side, but it is extremely user friendly. The only downside is that it is extremely pricey, and very bulky to carry if you are on the go a lot. It has it's touch-up line, I recommend it, but you really need to have patience and time, I was hooked once, but always late for everything.
I keep it only for special ocassions. Check out the whole line on  http://temptu.com, like its name, it is tempting!!!  You can even make tatoos, get a mega tan. You can see all the colors they offer, and make it easy to choose which one is for you. I bought mine @ Sephora, but I did not see them this time, you have to check if they only have it on their site.

10-Sephora Professional brushes are excellent! Yes, they can be pricey, but the Platinum line is amazing, so soft on the face, specially for those who have sensitive skin like me...

11-When Summer comes, a drugstore brand foundation that is great is Almay, it is hypo-allergenic, unexpensive and it really helps with the bemishes. Blends in nicely and very gentle with your pocket. Almay has great hypo-allergenic products, it's like Clinique, but drugstore prices...

12-REVLON AGE DEFYING: Drugstore brand, great results for dry skin. It makes skin look beautiful, truly, and coneals very well, spreading thoroughly through your face, easily, no smudging or caking, I liked it very much...

13-benefit, some kind a gorgeousI've gone through two of these, this is a great product to wear for daytime, it does not look like you have anything on your face, it evens out beautifully and it has a creamy, yet light texture, feels so good on skin...and an excellent medium coverage. You can even get away with it at the beach, and no one will notice.

14-Poudre Universelle Compact from Chanel: Bought it this summer...great for avoiding shine, yet covers nicely, not looking overdone. I highly recommend it for taking it with you at night, the case is pretty small, a convenient size, great for touch-ups...

15-Mac Studio Fix: It serves as a foundation when sponge is wet and powder when sponge is dry...Great coverage.

16-Lancome Dual finish: A great powder, and beautiful finishing product...

17- Setting FX: Wonderful, magical, beautiful loose powder! The only thing is that you have to be extremely careful when using, it is so fine, it flies and spills easily, but once you get the trick, you'll be fine. Your skin looks beautiful, and no breakouts here. My favorite loose powder so far.

18-Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer: Excellent product to wear underneath makeup, it evens out skin tone and gives it a velvety texture.

19-My last purchase, and I am in love with this! Kiehl's Beauty Balm in light. This product is like magic, it works on your skin, evens out skin tone, and has SPF 50, tons of protection. I highly recommend it.

Well guys, hoped you enjoyed my post on beauty stuff...
See you next time!
xo,
T.
