I'm back with the goodies we like, beauty stuff.
Yes, today my post is about products to create the foundation, the canvas for our make up, beauty balms, primers, concealers, foundations, powders...
At this day and age, beauty companies have created so many products, we tend to go crazy at the stores and want everything of everything because of those promises and ads that make us believe we will look fabulous, beautiful and younger. The sad thing is, most of us tend to believe it, ( I do).
The ads make you drool, and you imagine your skin will look like the photoshopped/airbrushed/made up model on the ad, so not true.
For what it's worth, I still keep trying stuff, and here are some things that I have personally bought, tried and approved. Some are Department store products, others are drugstore products, and I consider them to be pretty good.
Let's begin
1- ESTEE LAUDER DayWear: Great tinted moisturizer, best for dry skin, I used it and it works and looks beautiful, but I preferred something lighter...So I went with Rae climate control tinted moisturizer for my everyday routine. But make no mistake, this tint is awesome for those with drier skin, AWESOME! Skin looks like porcelain and the tint blends with your color...
5-Dermablend: This concealer was my savior when I had a terrible breakout
some time ago. It is not oily, it covers fantastically and it won't cause
breakouts.
I ordered it on Amazon. Read carefully to find the one that matches
your skintone. It is truly amazing how well it covers! But it is on the heavy side, so beware, try to blend it in with a concelaer brush
( Revlon has good, cheap ones), and you will see those blemishes vanish! I promise!
6-Murad Acne concealer: Best acne/blemish concealer hands down...it treats while it
covers, and won't irritate your skin if you follow instructions. You can find it at Sephora or order it on Amazon.
9-If you really want to go overboard, The Temtpu Airbrush Make up System is
just Fab! This is more on the Professional side, but it is extremely user
friendly. The only downside is that it is extremely pricey, and very bulky to carry if
you are on the go a lot. It has it's touch-up line, I recommend it, but you
really need to have patience and time, I was hooked once, but always late for
everything.
I keep it only for special ocassions. Check out the whole line on http://temptu.com, like its name, it is tempting!!! You can even make tatoos, get a mega tan. You can see all the
colors they offer, and make it easy to choose which one is for you. I bought
mine @ Sephora, but I did not see them this time, you have to check if they
only have it on their site.
10-Sephora Professional brushes are excellent! Yes, they can be
pricey, but the Platinum line is amazing, so soft on the face, specially for
those who have sensitive skin like me...
12-REVLON AGE DEFYING: Drugstore brand, great results for dry skin. It makes skin
look beautiful, truly, and coneals very well, spreading thoroughly through your
face, easily, no smudging or caking, I liked it very much...
14-Poudre Universelle Compact from Chanel: Bought it this
summer...great for avoiding shine, yet covers nicely, not looking overdone. I
highly recommend it for taking it with you at night, the case is pretty small,
a convenient size, great for touch-ups...
16-Lancome Dual finish: A great powder, and beautiful finishing
product...
19-My last purchase, and I am in love with this! Kiehl's Beauty Balm in light. This product is like magic, it works on your skin, evens out skin tone, and has SPF 50, tons of protection. I highly recommend it.
Well guys, hoped you enjoyed my post on beauty stuff...
See you next time!
xo,
T.
